Welcome to the Spring 2025 semester in the UNLV Art Department!

Spring is always a very busy and exciting time here in the department, especially with our exhibition schedule. The Donna Beam Gallery is hosting four MFA thesis shows this semester, and Grant Hall is hosting two midway MFA shows. Currently on view for one more week in Donna Beam is the Juried Student Exhibition. Last night was the opening, which was absolutely packed! This is the first time many of these students have had their work in an exhibition. Across campus, the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art inaugurated four new shows last night. We enjoy a strong partnership with the Barrick and its Director Alisha Kerlin, so make sure you spend some time in the museum this semester.

Seeing art in-person is so important, and these shows especially will inspire and uplift all. At the end of the semester we have the BFA thesis show, and Graphic Design Capstone presentation. There are many more upcoming exhibitions and events, so be sure to follow this account. I want to wish everyone success in 2025, and I can't wait to see what you all make this semester!
