The College of Education Communications Team is seeking a marketing and communications graduate assistant (GA) for the Spring 2025 semester. The opportunity may extend to the following academic year if the candidate meets performance expectations and funding is available. 

The master’s level graduate assistant will support the college in producing and distributing high-quality content for educational, promotional, and outreach purposes via the college's print and digital channels. The role requires 20 hours per week and includes:

  • Storytelling (about our students, faculty/staff, and alumni)
  • Basic design and layout using Canva and/or PhotoShop (e.g., event invitations, program announcements, social media posts)
  • Video production and editing 

Qualifications:
Full-time enrollment in a UNLV master’s level graduate program, preferably media studies, marketing, communications, or a related field
Proficiency in design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Creative problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for visual storytelling
Demonstrated support for diversity, equity, and inclusiveness, as well as participating in maintaining a respectful, positive work environment

Compensation:
This position is eligible to receive a $17,000 stipend for the fall and spring semesters, nine credits per semester of tuition coverage, and graduate assistant benefits.
