We are currently accepting applications for the following positions within the college:
Paraprofessional Pathways Project (PPP) Student Success Advisor and Rebel Start Academy (RSA) Student Success Advisor
These positions provide program and student support within the college's Education Student Services Center (ESSC) in partnership with the NV|Forward (NVF) program. One advisor position focuses on the Paraprofessional Pathways Project and the other on Rebel Start Academy. The individuals in these positions will:
- Create, implement, evaluate, and modify student advising plans, including initial transcript/course evaluations
- Support program partners/program managers, departments and ESSC toward student success
- Advise, in consultation with ESSC Associate Director for Advising, students in NVF-funded programing
- Work with NVF students in an advising/support role, creating documentation trails between students and the college
- Track student progression and communicate, proactively, advising needs to relevant departments, ESSC, and NVF
- Support NVF-funded students toward completion and compliance with degree and licensure requirements
- Monitor/address changing needs relative to student enrollment, supporting departments with registration
- Participate in weekly meetings as well as 1:1 meetings with program partners as needed
- Attend and support NVF events
Eligibility
Applicants must have earned a bachelor's degree and have experience in education, student services, student involvement and engagement, and/or student support. The position requires:
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to independently synthesize information and strategically identify meaningful content for appropriate internal and external audiences
- Ability to develop and cultivate strong relationships with diverse populations to support program student enrollment and faculty/student success

Workforce Readiness Advisor
The position serves as a licensure specialist and provides advising and student support within the college's Education Student Services Center (ESSC) in partnership with the Nevada Department of Education (NDE). The individual in this position will:
- Serve as principal point-of-contact with NDE for understanding and supporting students on licensure requirements
- Manage pre-service educator licensure processes for all programs leading to licensure in the college
- Oversee data collection and management, and career and licensure retention on all licensure program completers
- Advise undergraduate students and serve as primary retention, progression, and completion (RPC) contact focusing on completion initiatives
- Provide support and lead initiatives/workshops regarding clinical experiences and professional/career development
- Conduct degree audits, grad checks, did-not-graduate lists, and other transition requirements to support graduation and licensure
- Monitor and address changing needs relative to licensures; verify licensure status for all accelerated alternated alternate route to licensure (AARL) applicants
- Collaborate with ESSC, NVForward, departments, and other stakeholders for licensure and workforce readiness
- Develop/implement programming and initiatives relevant to career and licensing preparation and readiness
Eligibility
Applicants must have earned a bachelor's degree and at least one year of full-time professional experience in education, licensing, career development, workforce readiness, student services, student involvement and engagement, and/or student support. The position requires:

Youth Rebel Start Academy Advisor
The position serves as the advisor and coordinator for the Youth Rebel Start Academy (YRSA) within the college's Education Student Services Center (ESSC). The individual in this position will:
- Advise, support, and coordinate resources/outreach to high school students pursuing and enrolled in YRSA programs
- Liaise and coordinate with UNLV departments, faculty, and high school administrators to ensure program/student success
- Enroll, track registration/progression/performance data, and regularly create data and semester reports
- Design, implement, evaluate, and report findings on interactive professional development for students, families, and school personnel
- Coordinate and support student and school recruitment efforts
- Collaborate with the UNLV DE/CE team regarding university-led initiatives in dual and concurrent enrollment
- Work with faculty across the college to maintain web-based resources and materials to support dual and concurrent enrollment
