The UNLV Center for Mathematics, Science, and Engineering Education is currently accepting applications for the Spring 2025 STEM Educator and Student Partnership Paid Internship.

Program Summary

Educators need help in the classroom bringing STEM-CS experiences to learners, pre-service educators need mentorship in STEM-CS content and pedagogy, and STEM-CS students need chances to practice skills in STEM-CS and presentation of STEM-CS content. This project will recruit undergraduate students majoring in STEM-CS and undergraduate students majoring in education and partner them together in Internship groups. These intern groups will be placed in a grade 8-12 classroom, where they will work together to support educators while sharing and gaining knowledge of STEM-CS content, pedagogy, and the intersection of the two.
