Dr. Hasan Deniz, Director of the Center for Mathematics, Science and Engineering Education, and Dr. Monika Neda, Associate Dean for Research-College of Sciences, hosted 11 international women visitors from Australia, Indiana, and Japan on November 18, 2024.  They learned about sponsored STEM education grant projects at UNLV and how we leverage these projects to attract and retain students from underrepresented communities in STEM fields. The program ended with a tour of the new Advanced Engineering Building.

These visitors came to the U.S. through the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP), the U.S. Department of State's premier professional exchange program designed to foster mutual understanding between the U.S. and other nations. World Affairs Council Las Vegas manages the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) in Las Vegas.
