The American Water Works Association named UNLV engineering graduate Padmanabhan 'Pad' Krishnaswamy's master's thesis the best in the nation. Krishnaswamy explored the emergence of disinfection byproducts in wastewater, specifically during the pandemic. This groundbreaking research not only raised awareness about byproducts in our wastewater, but also provided valuable insight for water managers across the country.
