The time between Memorial Day and Labor Day is often referred to as the "100 Deadliest Days," as first identified by AAA more than a decade ago and typically references young drivers. However, traffic deaths increase during that time of year for all road users, according to Erin Breen, director of the Road Equity Alliance Project at UNLV.

Memorial Day marks the beginning of what’s known as the 100 deadliest days of the year on roadways. With teens and college students free from classes and families on vacation, there is more activity on the road.
