Darnelle Melvin (Libraries) is the 2024 recipient of the McPhee Librarian of the Year Award. Melvin was nominated for his extraordinary contributions to the UNLV Libraries and global community of information professionals through work on Wikidata and recognition from the 2023 Search Industry Awards for Best Open-Source Project. He is the Special Collections & Archives Metadata Librarian.
