Honors College News

The Honors College is a selective college within the university that offers an enhanced undergraduate core experience for highly motivated students. We partner with the "discipline" colleges at UNLV where honors students pursue their academic majors.

Las Vegas is no stranger to worker walkouts. Pickets have appeared in front of our hotel casinos throughout recent gaming history. Workers at Virgin Las Vegas told News 3 they had hoped it wouldn't come to this, but the Culinary Union is not afraid to stand up for better pay and benefits.

A video of a passenger bagging the "best seat ever" on the final flight of the day has gone viral on TikTok. The clip was shared by @nabil.o33 and has had 3.3 million views since it was posted on April 15. A message overlaid on the video says: "POV [point of view]: When you're flying standby on the last flight of the day, the flight is completely full, but you were given the option to sit in the back of the plane with the cabin crew."

Project Wellness President Jose Llanes, faculty co-advisors to Project Wellness Ursula Kamanga (Honors; Communication Studies) and Daniel Bubb (Honors; Academic Affairs), the Project Wellness Executive Board, and the Project Wellness Planning Board published an article in The Beacon, a newsletter distributed to colleges and universities…
Members of Alpha Epsilon Delta, the American Medical Student Association, Project Wellness, and other UNLV students participated in assembling hygiene and health kits for the unhoused.
