Biography

Dr. Jared Lau graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Ph.D. in counseling/counselor education. He also holds a B.S. from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa and earned a M.S. at the University of San Diego. His research interests include counselor education and supervision, counselor training environment research, international counseling issues, assessment and program evaluation, multicultural counseling, college counseling and student affairs, and couples and family counseling. Prior to joining the faculty at UNLV, Dr. Lau was an assistant professor of counselor education at Fresno State University where he served as the lead faculty member of the Student Affairs and college counseling specialty and the co-chair of the School of Education's International Education Committee.
