Biography

Ed Nagelhout earned his doctoral degree in rhetoric and composition from Purdue University in 1996. He regularly teaches the core Professional Writing courses, as well as Principles of Modern Grammar. He received the Rita Deanin Abbey Teacher of the Year award in 2016 and the Division of Educational Outreach Faculty Excellence Award in 2013. His research interests include writing program administration, teaching in digital environments, digital composing, and writing in the disciplines. He has co-edited three collections, published twenty-five articles or book chapters and two electronic textbooks, and presented more than a hundred papers at local, national, and international conferences.
