Mission Statement
The Office of the Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and its units support the core educational mission of UNLV of delivering high-quality academic programs and engaging educational experiences to all students. The office does so by facilitating the design and approval of quality programs, continuous curriculum improvement through program review, academic course and degree assessment, and oversight of the university’s regional and discipline-specific accreditation processes. The office strives to ensure the accessibility of digital materials, services, and environments to create a more inclusive educational experience. The office’s responsibilities also include educational compliance, workforce development, evaluation of institutional policies, and providing resources and services to encourage international study.
The office is a core part of the Executive Vice President & Provost’s (EVP&P) team and provides strategic input, advice, and support to the EVP&P to advance our university mission.
