Description
Bright Future: Education, Access, and Financial Literacy aims to foster educational and financial literacy within the Las Vegas community. This event will provide comprehensive support and resources for individuals of all ages seeking to further their education, navigate financial aid processes, and enhance their financial literacy and career development skills. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore various educational pathways, including trade or technical schools, community colleges, and state colleges and universities, whether in-state or out-of-state. Snacks will be available throughout the event.

Sessions will include:
- FAFSA Completion Lab: Receive assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and UNLV's Alternate Need Form, available for non-FAFSA-eligible students.
- It is recommended that FAFSA applicants create a StudentAid.gov account account before the event.
- Financial Aid Guidance: Address questions and concerns regarding financial aid.
- Admission Application Workshops: Receive guidance and support in navigating the admission application process of the institution(s) of your choice.
- Registration Assistance: Get help with class registration and New Student Orientation sign-up, specifically tailored for current and admitted UNLV students.
- Financial Literacy and Wellness: Engage in interactive sessions covering topics like student loans and credit management.
- Military & Veteran Education Benefits: Learn about military funding options or National Guard benefits, including transferred VA Education benefits for military family members or 100% disabled parents with Chapter 35 benefits for dependents.
- Career Services: Explore career path options and choose a program of study. Learn tips for creating or updating your resume.

- Activities for Elementary, Middle School, and Young High School Students: Visit interactive stations designed to increase college and career awareness and foster financial literacy concepts.
All FAFSA, financial aid, and admission application sessions will be offered in both English and Spanish.
Laptops: Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops. However, a limited number of laptops will be available during the event.
Parking: Free parking will be available at the Tropicana Garage and Cottage Grove Garage. Please park on the second floor and higher.
