The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Construction provides a well-rounded education, combining theoretical learning with practical laboratory experience. Our programs prepare you to excel in industry or compete against other students at the best graduate schools in the country.

Degree Offerings
Railroad Program
The UNLV Railroad Program offers several undergraduate and graduate courses that cover railroad engineering, railroad operations, freight transportation, high-speed rail, and public transportation. It also provides students the opportunity to engage with railroad practitioners through seminars, field trips, and workshops.
