Reception in Honor of Ann McDonough on May 28

After 17 years at the helm of the Academic Success Center, Ann McDonough has decided to step down from her role as founding dean of the ASC and move back to the College of Fine Arts as a full professor in the Department of Theatre. During her time as dean, McDonough launched key initiatives that have significantly contributed to the academic success of our students, including programs for tutoring, supplemental instruction, and academic success coaching, as well as scholarship programs such as Hixson-Lied Success Scholars and Jump Start Scholars. She was instrumental in establishing learning support services in strategic locations such as the Lied Library, the College of Engineering, campus housing, and the Dining Commons.

McDonough's contributions to UNLV extend beyond the administrative realm. She's a respected scholar in the field of theatre, known for her work with older adults and Oral History Theatre. Her academic and artistic excellence has enriched both the College of Fine Arts and the wider community. As McDonough transitions back to her faculty role, we thank her for her service and leadership, which have left a lasting impact on the university. We look forward to seeing her continue to inspire and educate in the arts.

Faculty and staff are invited to a special reception in honor of McDonough on Tuesday, May 28 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Goldfield Room of Lied Library. Please RSVP.
