About Post-Primary Education Tracks

Post-primary tracks offer the opportunity for current Radiologic Technologists to complete the structured education requirements for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in:

  • Computed Tomography
  • Magnetic Resonance
  • Mammography
  • Cardiac Interventional Radiography
  • Vascular Interventional Radiography

Eligibility

Any Technologist registered in an ARRT supported primary modality is eligible to enroll in a track.

Track Options

Non-Degree Option

Those wanting to become only ARRT eligible in any of UNLV post-primary modalities can enroll as a non-degree seeking student.

Degree Seeking Option

Those wishing to earn a Bachelor’s in Science Degree should schedule a meeting with the Radiography Program Director (702-895-3296) to discuss options.

Track Structure

Our Curriculum

Each modality track offers education approved by the ARRT for post-primary structured education which exceeds the minimum requirements.

Clinics

Students can enroll in CMI 490 each semester until clinical competency is obtained. Applicants may use their place of employment for clinical experience if available/desired. If employment placement is not an option, assistance will be given. Clinical placement is not guaranteed and is based on clinical availability and willingness to accept students in any post-primary modalities.
